A special meeting within the frames of the Free Speech Partnership – a programme aimed at sharing experience on publications and translations among editorial offices of former Eastern Bloc countries – was held on October 7-9 in Kiev.
Several journals and magazines from three countries were invited to participate in the conference.

As Res Publica Nova announced on its website: “Through reprinting texts, organizing meeting, debates and conferences, we want to improve the quality of discussion about countries to the east of Poland and establish a network of intellectual communities that can share their contributions. … Several articles in our section Europe – discussions were published within the frames of this programme. The programme itself was inspired by a netmagazine www.eurozine.com, a platform for European cultural journals…”
The organizer of the event was ResPublica Nova. The conference was financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
