Azerbaijan: A Concert in Memory of Muslim Magomayev

On Saturday, the “IRELI” Public Union together with the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall will hold a concert dedicated to Muslim Magomaev, a great artist of Azerbaijan. The event will be held at 6pm on 18 August 18 in the Chamber and Organ music hall.

On the birthday anniversary of the great musician, who left an indelible mark in the history of both Azerbaijan and the world music, young singers – members of the “IRELI” Center of Culture and Arts – will perform his songs. The audience will have also an opportunity to watch a short film about the life of Muslim Magomaev.

The Chairman of the Public Union “IRELI” Rauf Mardiev said that the concert is to honor the memory of Muslim Magomaev, a person who conquered the hearts of millions with his creativity and glorified Azerbaijan throughout the world, as well as to convey his artistic heritage to the youth. 400 guests will attend the concert and those wishing to participate in the event should visit here: Facebook page of the event.

“IRELI” Public Union is the first and the only youth organization organizing such an event. The initiator of the concert is Farhad Ibrahimov, an activist and project coordinator of “IRELI” Youth Organization.

Farhad Ibrahimov started his work for “IRELI” in October 2010 and officially became an official activist of the Youth Organization a year ago. At first, he was working for the “IRELI” radio, an official station of the Organization. He continues his adventure with the radio station, hosting the program “Results” (“Итоги”). His first individual project was dedicated to the Day of Victory on 9 May, organized in cooperation with Russian organizations. In appreciation of his work, Farhad was presented with a certificate attesting to his active contribution to a discussion on the “Second World War” theme.

Right now, he works on two other projects – a debating championship and an interactive game show for students.
